Terms of Service

What Chouf is

Chouf helps people with dietary restrictions find restaurants and menu items that work for them. We surface nearby restaurants using data from Google Places and let users add reviews, ratings, and photos. Chouf is currently available in the United States.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Don't share your password. If you suspect unauthorized access, email privacy@choufapp.com right away. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Your content

When you post a review, rating, or photo, you keep ownership of that content. By submitting it, you give Chouf a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on the platform and use it to improve the service. You're responsible for making sure your content is accurate and does not violate anyone else's rights.

What we don't allow

• Fake or misleading reviews
• Spam or promotional content posted as reviews
• Content that infringes copyright or trademark
• Illegal, harmful, or threatening content
• Using Chouf to scrape data or overload our systems

We may remove content that violates these rules and suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.

Restaurant information

Restaurant names, addresses, menus, and hours come from Google Places and restaurant owners. We can't guarantee that information is always accurate or up to date. If you have a serious dietary allergy, always confirm directly with the restaurant before you order.

No warranty

Chouf is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or that restaurant data will be complete or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Chouf's total liability for any claim relating to your use of the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Closing your account

You can close your account any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in California courts.

Changes

We'll update the effective date and notify you by email when we make material changes.
